Allevial Intra-Knee Injection
ALLEVYAL is an injectable product consisting of a highly purified hyaluronic acid sodium salt buffer solution with a molecular weight of 1,000 to 1,500 KDaltons, with remarkable viscoelastic properties.
It is available in two versions: 40 mg / 2 ml (2%) and 80 mg / 4 ml (2%). Sodium hyaluronate represents an important component of synovial fluid, to which it imparts its distinctive viscoelastic properties. ALLEVYAL's sodium hyaluronate is obtained through fermentation without any chemical treatment. It comes in the form of a disposable glass syringe pre-filled with a sterile aerogenic solution. In rheumatic and degenerative diseases of the joints, a decrease in the amount of hyaluronic acid occurs as a result of the decrease in the viscosity of the synovial fluid. This causes deterioration of the function of the joints and pain.
Intra-articular application of hyaluronic acid can restore the viscoelastic properties of synovial fluid with a significant improvement in joint mobility and a consequent attenuation of pain and inflammatory response.
